Let me tell you about a friend of mine who managed to turn his life around. Jake was a web developer who was married with two kids. He had a comfortable life and made a decent living however everyday he 
would come back from work wanting more but never sure if he deserved more. When I asked him what goals he was working towards, his mind went blank. Although he already had a beautiful wife, 2 healthy children, a wonderful home and a great job; he felt very lonely and uninspired. He would read the self help books and attend the seminars, but the motivation was only short lived. 
I encouraged him to set some goals in all different areas of his life and begin working towards them at once. As he did this, his whole life began to change. He began exercising 3-4 times a week which he had not done in the past 10 years and this automatically gave him more energy. The number of calories you consume on a daily basis will determine whether you will gain weight or lose weight but it is not practical, nor convenient to carry a set of scales and calculator with you at every meal. This is no longer necessary as I am about to share with you some secrets to weight loss success.

As we are all different sizes, our hands can be used as a measuring tool to ensure that we are eating the right quantities to shed some body fat.
